To create the mirror cube, I designed the pieces in adobe illustrator. The cube is made up of 4 side pieces, one bottom with a cut out for the rotating circle on a lazy susanesque piece connected to a motor; there are also three tops with different iterations of cutouts. These are all made of double-sided mirror-coated acrylic and were cut out using a laser cutter. The cube is propped up on a plank of wood that has a portion cut out off it in which the motor lies.

The purpose of this project is to illustrate the illusion, distortion of self that is mirrored in personas created in social media. The self can become so distorted when looked at through the lens of a camera and the lens that society has on social media.
